The institute is strategically located in proximity to major industrial hubs, namely Chakan (26 km), Pimpri-Chinchwad (40 km), and Ranjangaon (50 km), and is approximately 65 km from Pune, a prominent center of education and industry. Situated at the foothills of the Sahyadri ranges, the campus is in close vicinity to significant cultural and historical landmarks, including Bhimashankar, the Ashtavinayak temples (Ozar, Lenyadri, and Ranjangaon), and Shivneri Fort.
The institute campus, spread over 17 acres, is equipped with well-developed infrastructure, including the Academic and Administrative Building (21,000 sq. m.), Mechanical and Automobile Workshops, hostels for boys (capacity: 336) and girls (capacity: 288), staff quarters, and sports facilities. The institute building was inaugurated by Hon. Sharadchandraji Pawar, former Union Agriculture Minister, on 15 January 2011.
